The plant reaches a height of 80–90 cm. The flowers have a yellow or light yellow color and lack a pronounced aroma. The basal leaves are lanceolate in shape, with a length of 20–25 cm.

The variety is grown for decorative purposes, including as a cut flower crop. The plant prefers sunny areas and well-drained soils, while reacting negatively to waterlogging, which can provoke the development of root rots.
