The variety was obtained by multi-stage hybridization using mutant lines induced by ethyl methanesulfonate, followed by crossing with high-yielding varieties Norlin and Areco. Breeding work was conducted from 1991 to 2005 with a focus on economically useful traits.
The plant belongs to the oil type. Seeds have a brown color, thousand kernel weight is 6.12 g. A distinctive feature is the low level of alpha-linolenic acid (5.2%) and reduced content of cyanogenic glycosides (1450 mg/kg).
