The variety is late-maturing, ripening 4 days later than the standard CDC Bethune. Plant height is 63–68 cm. Seeds are large, thousand kernel weight is about 6.8 g.
Plants possess high resistance to lodging. The variety has immunity to Canadian races of flax rust, and shows moderate resistance to Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew.
Oil content in seeds is about 44.6%. Oil quality is characterized by an iodine value of 194.5 and an alpha-linolenic acid content at the 59.3% level.
