The Chibik variety belongs to the group of oil flax varieties. In agricultural research, it often appears as a collection specimen under the number k-8710, intended for evaluating oil content and seed yield in various soil and climatic conditions.

The plant demonstrates a dependence of yield on the application of mineral fertilizers. In the conditions of the forest-steppe and the northern Trans-Urals, the seed yield of the variety ranged from 210 to 247 g/m². Detailed morphological descriptions, information on the maturity group, and resistance to diseases or lodging are not presented in open sources.
