Variety description

The tree has a compact conical or pyramidal crown, reaching a height of 4–8 meters by 10 years of age, and up to 10 meters at maturity. A distinctive feature of the variety is the bright yellow or golden-orange young branches.

The five-lobed palmate leaves are light yellow in spring, turn bright green in summer, and acquire shades ranging from yellow to carmine-red and purple in autumn. The plant produces decorative rounded prickly infructescences.

The variety is winter hardy, withstanding frosts down to -20°C... -25°C. It adapts well to various soil types, including moist ones, and prefers sunny locations protected from wind.
