The tree reaches a height of 15–25 meters. The trunk acquires a grey coloration and deep furrows with age. Leaves are leathery, five-lobed or seven-lobed, dark green in summer, and acquire shades ranging from dark yellow and orange to purple and dark violet in autumn.

Flowering occurs in April with small yellow-green flowers; the fruits are prickly spherical capsules. The variety possesses a 5b hardiness zone, is resistant to wind, air pollution, and typical diseases or pests of the species.

Due to the compact form of the crown, the plant is suitable for use in the landscaping of streets, alleys, squares, and park zones.
