The variety has a characteristic mounding habit with short internodes. The flowers are pink, and the stems have no anthocyanin coloration.

The plant is used in ornamental gardening, primarily for cultivation in flower pots and hanging baskets. The variety status in a number of official registers is indicated as discontinued.
