The variety has a trailing growth habit, which distinguishes it from other members of the species. The flowers are dark blue in color.

The plant is cultivated as an annual, sensitive to the effects of extreme heat, which can lead to scorching or dieback in the middle of the summer season.

Due to its habit, the variety is widely used in the decorative design of terraces, balcony boxes, and hanging baskets.
