The variety Oreol is an annual form of Italian ryegrass. The crop is characterized by very rapid seed germination; seedlings are capable of withstanding short-term frosts down to -6…-8 °C. The plants respond well to the application of mineral fertilizers and the presence of moisture in the soil.
Westerwold ryegrass is distinguished by intensive growth, allowing for the first cut 35–45 days after sowing. In one season, the crop provides for the formation of 2–3 cuts. The main purpose of the variety is its use as an annual forage crop for hay harvesting and the creation of grass stands.
