The variety is a tetraploid Westerwold ryegrass with a densely tilleringgrowth habit and high shoot density. The plant is characterized by a very late heading date, which contributes to maintaining forage quality during the spring period. The variety is truly annual and does not require vernalization.
The plant possesses high resistance to rust and contains no endophytes that cause diseases in animals. The forage production is distinguished by high digestibility, metabolic energy, and palatability for dairy and beef cattle, sheep, deer, goats, and alpacas.
The crop is used as an intermediate link in crop rotations, including those with maize, to compensate for forage deficits in the winter-spring period. The effective utilization period is from 6 to 10 months, with the variety being suitable for both multiple grazing and for hay or silage harvesting.
