The variety «Aktiv» is a forage grass used in agricultural production. In agronomic registers and reference lists, the variety is evaluated by morphological traits, such as plant height and growth habit, as well as by the level of resistance to rust and powdery mildew.

Yield indicators of the variety are determined in the first and subsequent cuts. The name «Aktiv» is also encountered as part of trade names for lawn grass mixtures; however, in specialized agricultural publications, it is classified as a specialized variety of Italian ryegrass.
