The Barminton variety is used to form high-quality turf cover. It is valued for its high wear resistance and ability to recover quickly after mechanical stress, which allows its use in mixtures for restoring sports turf, as well as for landscaping parks and soil sodding in gardens.

This variety effectively combines with other grass species, such as smooth meadow-grass and fescue, contributing to the creation of a dense stand. The variety does not possess rhizome-forming properties and belongs to the category of standard lawn components of perennial ryegrass.
