The variety is intended for agricultural use in the establishment of pastures and hayfields. It is often used in seed mixtures together with white clover, promoting favorable development of clover in the sward.
The plant possesses early spring growth resumption and is characterized by a medium leaf size. The variety was developed as part of British breeding programs for the improvement of forage grasses.
