The variety belongs to the genus Lolium. According to the results of agronomic trials, Danmalos is a tetraploid form and demonstrates high dry matter productivity in the first cut.

During comparative studies, it was recorded that the dry matter of this variety contains a lower percentage of crude protein and crude fiber compared to other studied ryegrass samples.
