The Hawling variety belongs to the late-maturing group. Its primary agricultural purpose is for use as a component in grass mixtures intended for livestock grazing.

This variety is undergoing evaluation in the Nordic Field Trial System. Other agronomic characteristics, such as resistance indicators or morphological features, are not available in open sources.
