The Herbie variety is the subject of international scientific experiments aimed at studying the characteristics of the forage base for dairy cattle. Research includes the analysis of palatability, nutritional value, and morphological traits of the grass stand, such as sod density, shoot mass, and the leaf-to-stem ratio.
In comparative trials, the variety was evaluated in the context of studying productivity and resistance to various types of rust. Scientific data indicate variability in the variety's productivity indicators when compared with other breeding forms of ryegrass.
