The variety is an interspecific hybrid of Italian ryegrass and perennial ryegrass. In a number of European classifications, it was categorized as the English (perennial) ryegrass type.
Morphologically, the variety is described as semi-erect, and its height after vernalization is classified as medium. Previously, the variety was widely used in grass mixtures; however, due to the emergence of new breeding achievements, it has ceased to meet current criteria for agronomic efficiency.
