The variety is an F3 hybrid obtained by selection from seedlings of Lonicera kamtschatica and Lonicera turczaninowii. The height of the vigorous bush reaches 1.6–1.9 m, the crown diameter is about 1.6 m. The crown shape is compact, oval, moderately spreading; the skeletal branches are strong and upright.

The fruits are large, weighing 1.4–2.8 g, with a broad-fusiform or cylindrical shape. The skin is smooth, of medium thickness. The taste of the berries is dessert, sweet and sour; the detachment is dry. Fruit shedding is low, at 5–10%.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness down to -35...-40° C, resistance of flowers to spring frosts, and drought tolerance. The berries are for universal use. Cross-pollination with other honeysuckle varieties blooming in the same period is required to ensure fruiting.
