The variety «Arthur» is classified as a winter form of white lupin. Its breeding is presumably associated with the activities of the French organization GIE Lupsem, which ceased operations in 1994.

During field experiments, the fresh green mass yield of the variety was about 36.5 t/ha. Nutritional analysis of silage prepared from this variety showed a crude protein content of about 209 g/kg of dry matter. The variety was also used in metabolomic studies of lupin seed composition.

The primary purpose of the variety was for use as a forage crop, including silage production, as well as application in breeding programs.
