Variety description

10 August 2026

Frieda variety belongs to the group of sweet lupins with low alkaloid content. The plant possesses a developed taproot system, providing drought tolerance, and has a branched growth type.

A key feature of the variety is genetically fixed tolerance to the fungal disease anthracnose. The variety is distinguished by uniform ripening of grain and straw, which facilitates the threshing process.

High protein content in the seeds makes the crop a valuable component of animal feed. The ability to fix nitrogen and deep rooting allow for the effective use of the variety in crop rotation to improve soil structure and fertility.
