The variety is an alkaloid-free ("sweet") form obtained as a result of experimental mutagenesis using chemical agents, in particular ethyleneimine. The plant possesses photo- and thermoneutrality and is distinguished by its ability to dry out and drop its leaves by the time of maturity.

The grain of the variety contains a high level of protein, reaching 425 g per 1 kg of dry matter. The variety shows resistance to Phomopsis (*Phomopsis leptostromiformis*) infection and is widely used in breeding research as a valuable genotype of white lupin.
