The variety belongs to the vulgaris variety and is an annual legume bush with a thousand kernel weight of 340–350 g. In Russian conditions, the growing season for spring sowing is 130–150 days, of which the period from flowering to maturity accounts for 70–95 days.

The plant demonstrates a weak reaction to vernalization and is being studied for tolerance to chlorosis on calcareous soils. Based on its characteristics, it belongs to low-alkaloid fodder varieties, however, it may be inferior to modern breeding lines in terms of alkaloid content.
