The Lugel variety belongs to the mid-early group and is characterized by an indeterminate growth type. During experimental studies in Great Britain, grain yields of up to 5.2 t/ha were recorded with maturity at the end of August.

The variety was developed with the participation of French breeding institutions and was used in scientific experiments to study the crop's response to plant structure and sowing dates, including winter sowing under European conditions.
