The variety belongs to alkaloid-free forms of lupin intended for use as grain and green fodder. The plant is characterized by a rapid initial growth rate and a branching type of development.

Bordako possesses high resistance to anthracnose due to the presence of at least two dominant resistance genes in its genotype, and also exhibits resistance to Fusarium wilt. Compared to single-stem varieties, it has a more developed canopy structure, which contributes to an increase in green mass yield for forage purposes.
