The variety is a deciduous shrub with thorny shoots, reaching a height of about 2 meters. The plant leaves have a dark grey-green shade and a lanceolate shape; the flowers are funnel-shaped and dull purple in color. The fruits are ovoid, orange-red; fruiting occurs in late summer and autumn.

The plant is characterized by self-fertility, which allows for harvesting without the need for cross-pollination. The variety is characterized by high resistance to drought, strong winds, saline air, and poor soils, as well as winter hardiness down to -15°C. The crop can be grown in containers or on trellises.
