The plant has an upright bushy growth form. 20 years after planting, the shrub reaches a height of about 2 meters. The evergreen foliage is characterized by a dark green color and a glossy surface with a characteristic copper tint on the underside.
Flowers are white, fragrant, cup-shaped, and larger than those of the typical species. Flower buds are covered with brick-brown pubescent hair. The variety is adapted for cultivation in partial shade and is capable of growing in calcareous soils, preferring drained, moderately moist ground.
