Coop-13 (Co-op 13) is the international designation for the Redfree variety. It is a summer variety with medium-sized trees, high yield, and early bearing. The medium-sized fruits have an attractive red color and good flavor; the variety has immunity to scab.

KV-13 is a columnar apple tree of the summer maturity group with a compact tree 2–2.5 m tall. The fruits are large, weighing 140–160 g, green-yellow with a blush, and sweet-tart. The plant is characterized by winter hardiness down to –27 °C and resistance to scab and powdery mildew.

In scientific breeding practice, designations with the number 13 are used for hybrid or tetraploid forms. An example is the tetraploid form 13-6-106, which is used as a parent stock for breeding new varieties.
