The variety is a traditional landrace developed through years of peasant selection. Currently, it belongs to the category of forgotten varieties preserved to maintain agrobiodiversity.

The fruits of this variety have an elongated shape. A distinctive morphological feature is that upon reaching maturity, the seeds inside the fruit become loose, which produces a characteristic sound when shaken.
