Fruits of the Renet kanadskiy variety have a round-conical shape and are medium to large in size. The skin of the fruits is golden-yellow, covered with a characteristic network of russeting. The flesh is pale cream in color, of a firm consistency, and has a moderate taste that changes during storage from tart to sweeter.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and is triploid, which requires the presence of pollinator varieties. Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in October, and the crop can be stored until March. The variety is sensitive to the effects of low temperatures and a number of fungal diseases, including scab, powdery mildew, and apple canker.

In addition to the main type, there is a Renet seryy kanadskiy form, which is distinguished by more pronounced russeting of the fruit skin.
