The variety is an old folk cultivar traditionally grown in the regions of Central Italy. The tree has medium or medium-weak vigor and a drooping crown, suitable for planting in orchards and containers.

The fruits have a conical, slightly flattened shape and greenish-yellow skin, on which a red blush appears in sunlight. The flesh is thin and juicy, possessing a distinct aroma. Due to high delicacy and a short shelf life, the fruits are not industrial and are used in amateur gardening.
