The plant is a perennial, but often short-lived cultivar used in gardening. It reaches a height of 120 to 150 cm and is characterized as sufficiently hardy and winter-hardy.
The flowers have a blue-violet or dark indigo-blue color with characteristic almost black venation at the base. The flowering period is long, continuing from May until the end of summer or autumn.
The variety prefers sunny sites and well-drained, moderately fertile soils. In high humidity, the plant may be susceptible to rust. It is used in group plantings, mixed borders, flower beds, as a honey plant, or as a specimen plant.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
