The plant belongs to the 'Diamantina' series and is a vine with short or medium stems. The stems are light green with anthocyanin coloration; leaves are arranged oppositely, have an elliptical shape, and a moderate gloss on the upper side.
The flowers are gathered in raceme inflorescences; the corolla diameter is about 84 mm. The petals are asymmetrical with a pointed apex, colored in dark red-purple. The outside of the flower throat is yellow, while the inside has red-orange-purple shades. The plant contains toxic latex.
The variety is intended for cultivation in pots, containers, and hanging baskets. It is thermophilic; in temperate climates, it is used as a container crop for decorating balconies, terraces, and patios.
