The variety is used as a cover crop to improve soil fertility and nitrogen fixation, as well as a component of pasture mixtures to improve forage quality. The plant is characterized by a high capacity for atmospheric nitrogen fixation and high nutritional value, including protein, vitamin, and mineral content.

The variety is self-regenerating and possesses the ability to form "hard" seeds, which allows it to persist in the soil for several seasons. The plant is resistant to intensive grazing and demonstrates good productivity in mixtures with annual ryegrass.
