The variety was developed in Slovakia as part of a state breeding program. Development work was carried out at the experimental site in Borovce under the auspices of the National Agricultural and Food Centre.
The plant is intended for livestock needs as a forage crop. Official publications lack information on specific morphological characteristics, growth rates, and indicators of resistance to diseases or lodging.
