The variety is characterized by very large leaf blades up to 15–20 cm in diameter and rapid annual growth. The tree is capable of growing up to 15 meters, although in cultivation it is often maintained in the form of a shrub or a low tree through regular pruning, which stimulates biomass accumulation.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness and the ability to regenerate quickly if young shoots freeze. The leaves of the variety are characterized by a high content of biologically active substances, such as flavonoids and alkaloids, which determines their use in the pharmaceutical industry.
