The variety is a fruit crop and belongs to the species Morus alba. It was bred at the Donetsk Botanical Garden as a result of selecting tetraploid seedlings of the Apsheronskaya variety.

Available publications contain information about the origin of the variety, however, detailed agrotechnical characteristics, such as exact tree height, maturity group, or disease resistance indices, are not described.
