The plant reaches a height of 15–20 cm. The flowers, 3–4 cm in diameter, have a bright yellow color and a specific shape with a large, expanding corona and narrow perianth segments. The foliage is dark green, narrow, and grass-like.

The variety is early-flowering, with a blooming period in March–April lasting 2–3 weeks. The plant is frost-hardy (USDA zone 5), possesses immunity to pests, and is resistant to damage by animals.

It prefers sunny areas or light partial shade with well-drained soil; it does not tolerate stagnant moisture. It is used for planting in alpine gardens, rock gardens, borders, containers, and is also suitable for winter forcing.
