The plant reaches a height of 40 to 70 cm and possesses upright leafless flower stalks. Long strap-shaped dark green leaves usually appear after flowering is complete. The flowers have wavy petals.

The variety prefers well-drained soils and sunny sheltered sites. The plant is sensitive to waterlogging and standing water. Recommended for cultivation in open field in warm regions, in containers, or in group plantings.
