The variety is a promising type of basil that enriches the species diversity of the crop. Its main distinguishing feature is the distinct lemon aroma emitted by all vegetative organs of the plant.

Essential oil studies revealed a high content of geranial (22.7%) and carveol (17.7%). The antioxidant properties of the plant, as well as its phenolic acid and flavonoid content, were also studied.
