The Marian variety belongs to the Genovese basil type and is an annual plant 20–40 cm in height. It is characterized by a compact and stable upright habit with intensely green leaves that are densely and evenly distributed along the stem.

The plant possesses an intense aroma and is distinguished by a rapid growth rate, making it suitable for commercial production in pots and hydroponic systems. The variety exhibits tolerance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, maintaining uniformity and an attractive appearance.
