The Rutgers Obsession DMR variety is a compact plant approximately 66 cm in height with vigorous growth. The dark green leaves have a dense, glossy texture and measure up to 6.3 cm in length. The plant is characterized by a slow flowering rate and high regeneration capacity after regular pruning.

The main feature of the variety is high resistance to downy mildew, achieved through a combination of genes. The plant is suitable for commercial production in various cultivation systems, including hydroponics and open field. The taste characteristics correspond to the Genovese type with slight notes of clove.
