The variety is a sport of Oenothera tetragona and is intended exclusively for ornamental gardening. The main distinctive feature is variegated foliage: green leaves have a creamy-yellow margin, which is most pronounced in the spring period.
The plant forms bright yellow flowers. The height is approximately 18–24 inches. Like other Oenothera species, this variety prefers sunny areas for cultivation.
