The plant reaches a height of 20–40 cm and forms a densely leafy, strongly branched, sturdy stem with small pubescent leaves. In the conditions of Central Europe, the variety is grown as an annual crop characterized by rapid growth.

The variety possesses resistance to lodging and is not susceptible to specific diseases and pests, although it is sensitive to spring frosts. The produce is valued for its high essential oil content and pronounced aroma.

It is used as a culinary herb for meat dishes, soups, and sausage products; it has a soothing effect and improves digestion. Its compact appearance allows the variety to be grown in containers, and the white flowers with a violet hue attract pollinating insects.
