The plant height is from 35 to 50 cm, although there are dwarf forms with a height of 10–20 cm. The bright yellow or orange inflorescences are located on strong and succulent stems. In the Northern Hemisphere, when grown in protected cultivation or as a pot culture, flowering occurs from January to May.

The variety is used as a cut flower crop capable of maintaining freshness in a vase for up to three weeks, as well as a potted plant for interiors. The crop is sensitive to excessive moisture due to the risk of bulb rot and requires good lighting.
