The variety belongs to the long-grain rice category with a grain length of more than 6 mm. The crystalline structure of the grain and the increased amylose content ensure the preservation of shape during culinary processing, which makes the product in demand for use in side dishes and salads.

In scientific publications, the variety is considered as a local material used in research on salt stress tolerance. There is also data on the variety's susceptibility to the pest Chilo suppressalis. The variety is grown in the Ebro River Delta in Spain.
