The Canary Brilliant variety belongs to the group of ITO-hybrids obtained by crossing herbaceous and tree peonies. The large flowers, 15–20 cm in diameter, have a creamy-apricot shade at the beginning of blooming, which eventually changes to canary yellow. Golden stamens are located in the center of the flower; the fragrance is delicate.
The height of an adult plant is from 60 to 80 cm. The dark green dissected foliage remains decorative until autumn, often acquiring a reddish tint. The plant stems are stiff and strong, not requiring support. The variety belongs to the mid-season bloom group, which lasts from 3 to 5 weeks.
The plant has high frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -30...-40°C. Suitable for cutting; in water, the flowers retain freshness for up to 10 days. The above-ground part dies off for the winter and requires pruning to the ground level.
