Variety description

The variety is a deciduous tree with a spherical crown shape. At ten years of age, the plant reaches 8 meters in height with a crown width of about 6 meters. Leaves are large, heart-shaped, dark green in color, 20–25 cm long and 15–20 cm wide. The plant is characterized by a fast growth rate.
Flowering begins in April, approximately one week earlier than Paulownia tomentosa. Flowers are lavender-hued, fragrant, and honey-bearing. During the autumn-winter period, decorative appeal is provided by light brown flower buds. The frost resistance of the plant is up to -20°C (USDA zone 6).
The variety is undemanding to soil and suitable for urban conditions. To maintain dimensions, annual pruning is permitted at the end of winter, although such a procedure suppresses flowering. The plant is positioned as ornamental and is not classified as an industrial hybrid for timber harvesting.
