The Pendresd variety, also known under the trade name Ville de Dresden, belongs to the species Pelargonium peltatum. Unlike erroneous classifications, the plant is not a scented pelargonium and is grown for its flowering rather than aromatic properties.

The plant has white flowers and differs from other forms of Ville de Dresden by a more compact growth type. The variety is intended for ornamental use in landscaping, including planting in balcony boxes and flower beds.
