The Fox variety is a tetraploid genotype of Pelargonium × hortorum. It is known in scientific research as an object for the study of plant pathology and physiology, in particular, the mechanisms of hormonal regulation and pathogen resistance.
The plant possesses consistently high resistance to gray mold (Botrytis cinerea). At the same time, the variety is extremely sensitive to ethylene exposure, which manifests as petal abscission, requiring the use of specific ethylene inhibitors to protect the plant.
Specialized data on plant height parameters or maturity group are absent. Unlike the Red Fox series varieties, this cultivar is not a commercial variety for general floriculture.
