Zolmono was obtained in 1999 as a result of a controlled cross between forms H2166-1 and T038. In April 2000, one seedling was selected, which was subsequently used in breeding work.
The name is mentioned in the context of registration applications for other hybrids related to the Pelargonium ×hortorum and P. peltatum groups, for example, in the breeding of the Fantasia™ White variety.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
